Our first pilot project, only marginally delayed by the pandemic, has now been launched. Together with one of Sweden’s largest real estate owners Akademiska Hus and their tenant Green Innovation Park, we will now be mounting picture frame installations. The picture frame glass will be covered by a transparent solar cell, while the sensors will be hidden in the frame. The purpose of the project is to test performance in real conditions, specifically how the cell performs in indoor light during wintertime – the shortest days in Uppsala are less than 6 hours from sunrise to sunset.
The project was recently covered in Warp News and in NyTeknik (in Swedish), and is supported by Sweden’s Innovation Agency Vinnova.
